Quebec City, January 18, 2024 - Quebec-based Nagano Skate has reached another major milestone. A partnership agreement has been signed with Speed Skating Ontario (SSO). Nagano Skate will become the official sponsor of the Provincial Series, an integral part of Ontario's competitive speed skating network.

Nagano Skate also becomes the official supplier of apparel and training suits for SSO athletes, Provincial coaches, and staff. Tracksuits, jackets, coats, etc. will be proudly produced by Nagano Skate in the colours of the Ontario Federation.

"For us, this is an important step in the development of our company. We've already been working with SSO for the summer academies and we're excited to be able to do even more for the athletes with this new partnership," said Eric Bédard, Academy Director and Equipment Manager for Nagano Skate.

Nagano Skate is already a supplier to many speed skating clubs not only in Quebec, but in several provinces, and this partnership positions the company well on the Ontario scene.

"We are very pleased with this agreement, which consolidates the foundations of the work started with the Nagano Skate team at the summer academies. Our athletes know and trust the brand. So it's a natural fit for us to partner with Nagano Skate and their dedicated team," said Mary Frances Carter, Executive Director of Speed Skating Ontario.

Nagano Skate's expert advisors will also be on hand with their equipment at the end-of-season provincial championships in Kingston on March 9 and 10, 2024.

Nagano Skate is a Quebec-based company founded by short-track speed skating Olympians. The company specializes in the design, manufacture and sale of specialized equipment and protective gear for speed skating and field hockey.
