As part of the Government of Ontario’s Summer Employment Opportunities Program 2024, Speed Skating Ontario (SSO) is hiring a summer student. The intention of the program is to provide meaningful summer employment opportunities for students. Speed Skating Ontario will hire a Program Assistant responsible for providing support to SSO programs and initiatives.

Accommodations are available at the University of Calgary residence, Aurora Hall.

Please note that skaters under the age of 18 must have an adult stay with them in the same room to stay at the residence. University of Calgary Residence information and booking link can be found HERE

With the financial support of the Government of Ontario, Speed Skating Ontario is hiring a Full Time Provincial Short Track Coach.

 

The Provincial Short Track Coach (PSTC) will be responsible for building additional coaching capacity within SSO. The PSTC will support the development of Train to Train, Learn to Compete and Train to Compete athletes in Ontario. The PSTC will represent Team Ontario and coach athletes at National Competitions.

 

The PSTC position will support the implementation of SSO’s High Performance Plan Strategy 2024 and Vision 2028 and support our involvement in the Ontario High Performance Sport Initiative (OHPSI) program through the Canadian Sport Institute Ontario (CSIO).
