OSSA Coaches Conference coming in September

Registration is now open for the annual OSSA Coaches Conference which will be held in Ottawa on September 23-24, 2017. 

Did you know National Coaches Week is September 23-30, 2017? Join your fellow coaches for 1.5 days of workshops on and off the ice. Certified coaches can earn up to 3 Professinal Development Points. 

Coaches, officials, and parents are welcome to attend. 


RBC Training Ground

RBC Training Ground is designed to help National Sport Organizations uncover athletes with Olympic podium potential, in sports they may not have considered. Athletes between the ages of 14 and 25 will execute a series of workouts measuring speed, power, strength, and endurance in front of coaches and officials from sport organizations including Cycling Canada, Rugby Canada, Athletics Canada, Canoe Kayak Canada, Rowing Canada, Bobsleigh Skeleton Canada, Alpine Canada, Judo Canada, Triathlon Canada and Water Polo Canada.

Level 1 Officials Clinic 

Registration is now open for the Level 1 Officials Clinic on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Newmarket.

This clinic is a good introduction to the sport of speed skating for new officials, coaches, and parents.

Champions Fund from Dairy Farmers of Canada

The 2017 Champions Fund will award $5,000 grants to 30 deserving female athletes, teams, or organizations across Canada.

The Champions Fund was created by Canada’s Dairy Farmers to empower the female athletic community. Deadline for submissions is noon on September 20, 2017 with grant recipients being announced in October.
