Selection Criteria 2016-2017
OSSA members should carefully review the funding bulletin:
To further align with the Ministry’s target of providing funding to athletes who are performing at the highest level of competition and moving towards the goal of a national team position within 3 years, ranking and performance standards have been established. Athletes should review the minimum performance standards and the expectation for performance progression to maintain funding eligibility for future seasons.
Athletes applying for a Residency Exception must submit written documentation to the OSSA Manager, Sport Programs no later than November 30, 2016.
Athletes applying for a Canada Card Exception must submit written documentation to the OSSA Manager, Sport Programs no later than November 30, 2016.
Athletes applying as Next Generation athletes must submit written documentation to the OSSA Manager, Sport Programs no later than November 30, 2016.

An athlete must be a permanent resident of Ontario for one year prior to his/her nomination for carding status (and continue to be a permanent resident throughout the term of the agreement), and be a member of their Provincial/Multi Sport Organization (and/or their National Sport Organization).
All eligible athletes will automatically be considered and ranked by the OSSA Selection Committee.
The 2016-2017 funding cycle is based on results from the 2015-2016 season.
A DRAFT LIST of nominated athletes will be posted by January 19, 2017.
