Selection Criteria 2017-2018

OSSA members should carefully review the funding bulletin:

Quest for Gold - Ontario Athlete Assistance Program 2017-2018 Selection Criteria

To further align with the Ministry’s target of providing funding to athletes who are performing at the highest level of competition and moving towards the goal of a national team position within 3 years, ranking and performance standards have been established. Athletes should review the minimum performance standards and the expectation for performance progression to maintain funding eligibility for future seasons.

Athletes must submit all required information to the OSSA Executive Director no later than Monday, February 5, 2018.

An athlete must be a permanent resident of Ontario for one year prior to his/her nomination for carding status (and continue to be a permanent resident throughout the term of the agreement), and be a member of their Provincial/Multi Sport Organization (and/or their National Sport Organization).

All eligible athletes will automatically be considered and ranked by the OSSA Selection Committee.

The 2017-2018 funding cycle is based on results from the 2016-2017 season.
